Nylo Lattimore s father says he hopes his son is found By Brittany Harry | May 10, 2021 at 10:38 PM EDT - Updated May 11 at 6:04 PM
CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Speaking for the first time since the death of his 3-year-old son, Nylo Lattimoreâs father on Monday issued a call to remember the boy he described as sweet, quiet and shy.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters says in December the boyfriend of Nyloâs mother, Desean Brown, placed Nylo alive in the Ohio River. His body remains missing.
Tonio Hughes, Nyloâs father, says he thinks about Nylo every day, wondering where the 3-year-old is, praying for the closure only a proper burial can bring.

Brittany Gosney was charged in connection with the death of her son, first-grader James Hutchinson. The mother allegedly confessed to killing the boy in an effort to abandon him and her two other children in a park in the middle of the night.
An Ohio mother accused of murdering her 6-year-old son James Hutchinson, and then dumping his body into the Ohio River is considered competent to stand trial, according to reports. Brittany Gosney underwent a psychological evaluation ordered by the court after her lawyer entered a plea of not guilty to be the reason for insanity.
When Cincinnati police asked for help in their search for Nylo Lattimore in December, there was no case for the 3-year-old in Hamilton County s Department of Job and Family Services. That s where people should call if they suspect abuse or neglect of a child.
Those who work in the department saw a drop in calls from the public about children and their wellbeing during the coronavirus pandemic. The same happened throughout Ohio and the nation. Calls dropped, but experts say abuse likely hasn t.
After he went missing, a photo of Nylo in a green, army print sweatsuit circulated on social media while police and the community searched for the toddler. Weeks passed with no sign of Nylo, and the rescue mission turned into a dive search.
Britany Gosney, the mother charged in connection with the death of her 6-year-old son, James Hutchinson, will have her sanity and competency evaluated on Monday.
Gosney is accused of killing her 6-year-old son, James Hutchinson, in February during an attempt to abandon all three of her children at a Preble County park, prosecutors said.
Police said Gosney and her boyfriend, James Hamilton, admitted they dumped James body in the Ohio River more than a day after he was killed.
Crews have been searching for Hutchinson s body as well as the body of 3-year-old Nylo Lattimore in the Ohio River for months. Neither of the boys have been found.
