Rain, possibly heavy at times, takes aim at southwest Washington and northwest Oregon throughout the day Monday. A moderate atmospheric river is moving southward into the metro area and will bring rain much of the day. Higher rain rates are expected along the coast and Coast Range. Southwest winds will also be breezy at times with gusts of up to 25 mph likely. The high temperature should raise only slightly during the day as morning temps were near 50 degrees. The high will be about 52.
