Some point in our lives many of us have probably been reminded of the importance of considering the past when making decisions for the future. It also seems fitting that such a historic milestone, missouris bicentennial celebration, coincides with these challenges. Missouri is seen difficult days in the past 200 years from the civil war and the Great Depression womens suffrage, civil rights, through it all missouri has prevailed . [applause] we had just experienced a chaotic and on precedented series most of ministrations heavily 60 days to prepare the First Six Months of the administration were hectic to say the least we are faced with quick decisions on a 30 billion state budget and nearly 150 of legislation that same summer, an

Weve been able to hire two of our t members of our Leadership Team into permanent positions. Ba do is on the reporting side, and were more than happy that bill and his team have adopted him and have assured us that they will be always available to help him be successful in his job. A second key hire that we have brought on board last month and a project that ive been working on for 15 years, and that is to get a Quality Assurance Operational Risk office started in the department, and i have been working with mr. Derwin brown for nearly two years, i think over two years, frankly. Tried to convince him that he needed to leave the l. A. County plan and come up and join us in San Franc
Shelter, education and healthcare. Please invest in these resources by keeping us all safe and invest in the community. Thank you. Next speaker please. Im born and raised in the city. Calling in on behalf of my community. Im calling on behalf of the lives lost by sfpd. One of the things that need to change about the Police Department, i will echo the same thoughts about reduce running the Police Budget. We need higher budget cuts. Next speaker please. I live in district 4. Im calling to ask defund and disband sfpd and the Sheriffs Department. We need to cut the Police Department by at least 50 . We need a budget that fires sheriffs deputies and cut overtime. You take that money to invest in the community, police dont keep us safe. That was made apparent again. We need to make drastic changes nationwide and San Francisco can lead the way. Communities are those with better acts with housing and healthcare and education.
