Covid-19 infects 83 more amid smart lockdown in Nowshera

Peshawar April 15, 2021 NOWSHERA: The Coid-19 infected 83 more persons amid smart lockdown in various areas of the district on Wednesday. The district administration continued imposing smart lockdowns to contain the spread of Covid-19 pandemic after coronavirus cases reported from various areas in the district. The authorities imposed smart lockdown in 32 localities, including Mohallah Hisartang in Nizampur, Mamakhel in Khairabad, Khushal Colony in Nowshera Cantt, Mohallah Eidgah in Akora Khattak, Sadiqabad in Shaidu, Miangan, Taru Jabba, Rasoolgarh, Akramabad, and others, following the emergence of an increased number of Covid-19 cases. The administration also sealed five more shops and imposed heavy fines on others for not wearing masks and violating standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Suicide case of SNGPL employee: Cleric seeks action against accused defaming notables

Peshawar March 17, 2021 NOWSHERA: A religious scholar on Tuesday alleged that some elements were involved in fleecing the people enjoying respect in the society by taking loans from them and then blaming them for interest-based business in the district. Speaking at a press conference, Qari Matiur Rahman alleged that two youth identified as Ibrahim and Ilyas had lured the employee of Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL), Muhammad Ayaz, to do interest-based business. He added that Muhammad Ayaz later committed suicide by consuming poisonous pills to end his life in Nowshera Cantt recently. Showing documents to the media persons, the religious scholar said that certain elements were trying to defame him through a conspiracy so he could not demand the money given to them as interest-free loan.

Nowshera’s student excels in naat contest Peshawar March 8, 2021 NOWSHERA: A student of the Government Higher Secondary School No 2 Nowshera Cantt has stood first in the naat contest and qualified for the national completion. According to the principal of the school, Hafiz Ishtiaq Ahmad, the naat competition was organized at the Pak-Australia University in Abbottabad. The contestants were from eight educational boards of the province. Amir Hamza, a pre-medical second year student, excelled in the naat contest and was adjudged the best among all the contestants from KP. Amir Hamza attributed the honour to his love for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), the guidance of his teachers and prayers of his parents. He hoped to get distinction in the national level naat completion as well scheduled to be held in the federal capital.
