Imphal: The District Magistrate of Imphal West, the capital of Manipur, said on Wednesday, Only loudspeakers will be allowed to operate between 8 AM and 6 PM without written permission.
The order passed on 18 May raised objections to the unnecessary use of loudspeakers in Imphal West district.
According to reports, during the pandemic, many NGOs and other institutions are using loudspeakers without permission, which is causing people s problems during the pandemic.

New Delhi: The Centre has said that the new multiplex RT-PCR kit would further strengthen the COVID testing process and help India in its fight against COVID-19 amid the second wave of coronavirus in India.
The kit will help in detecting SARS-CoV-2 mutations and is developed by Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), an Institute of National Importance (INI) under the Department of Science and Technology (Government of India).

Guwahati: The first Managing Director of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) Ranjit Kumar Dutta passed away today at Kolkata after a brief illness at the age of 75. He also held the position of CMD of Oil India Limited.
Dutta was considered a colossus in the Oil and Gas Industry in the country and his contribution to the development of the Oil and Gas industry in the North East is unparalleled.
