The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education will hold a special meeting tonight at 5 in the school study hall. The board is scheduled to approve the updated Return to School plan in light of new mandates from the state regarding coronavirus precautions. It is also set to approve the teacher/student handbook and to accept the resignation of bus driver Peggy Garrison. August-Special-Board-meeting The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for much of the listening area until 8 tomorrow night. Hot temperatures and high humidity could cause heat illnesses, though scattered thunderstorms may provide relief from the heat if they occur. The Edwards County Council on Aging says its Albion location will not have meal service today due to a lack of electricity at the Albion office.
