Both venues are managed by Live Nation for the city of Wilmington, which owns the venues.
On Tuesday, a Sept. 5 concert by the British pop band Glass Animals was announced for Riverfront Park. Tickets go on sale 3 p.m. May 4.
As for Widespread Panic, since forming in the 1980s, the band has gone on to become one of the most popular live acts in the world, typically playing large venues for multiple nights in a row. Many of the band s fans sometimes called Spreadheads follow the band from date to date.
A pre-pandemic Widespread show was a pretty wild affair, so it s possible that post-pandemic Widespread will be off the charts in all kind of fun ways. The band has released more than two dozen albums over the years, inspired by the Grateful Dead s blend of rock, jazz, blues, bluegrass and more.
