The fog should pull back by midmorning, leaving us with mostly sunny skies this afternoon. A stronger ocean breeze will mean cooler weather for everyone today. High temperatures this afternoon will hover in the upper 80s for the inland valleys, upper 70s along the bay shoreline and low 60s at the coast. The weather will be similar tomorrow, then a gradual warming trend will kick in wednesday lifting our inland highs back to the mid and upper 90s by the second half of the week. At its peak yesterday the river hit 37. 8 feet and thats 6 feet above flood stage. As of 2 a. M. , it had dropped about a half foot. But it is still enough to overwhelm some homes and businesses. The floodwaters went right up the highway 116 yesterday which is the main drag through this area. But it never actually flooded that road.
