A man from Springfield has been charged in federal court for a bank robbery earlier in July.
Investigators say Charles Edgar King Jr., used a note to steal almost $8,815 from a Guaranty Bank on North Glenstone July 10.
Police received a tip that King was staying at a local hotel before he was later taken into custody.

A Greene County judge has found a Springfield man guilty of first-degree murder for a 2019 shooting at a north-side motel.
Seth Gomez, 21, was convicted of first-degree murder and armed criminal action this week following a bench trial in front of Judge Jason Brown.
Brown determined Gomez was guilty of murdering 29-year-old Calvin Allen Jr. after cool reflection on the matter.
Gomez now faces a life sentence without the possibility of parole. He is scheduled to be formally sentenced in July.
According to a news release from the Greene County Prosecutor s Office, Gomez stabbed Allen twice while Allen was laying on a bed at the the Ozark Inn on North Glenstone Avenue.
