DIMAPUR Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified all the head of registered institutions that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will organise a special programme for school children called ‘Young Scientist Programme’ or ‘Yuva Vigyani Karyakram’ (YUVIKA- 2023). The programme is aimed at creating awareness about the emerging trends in science and technology among the youngsters; to impart basic knowledge on space technology, space science and space applications with a preference to rural areas; and to encourage more students to pursue in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) based research/ career. It informed that the residential programme would be of two weeks duration during summer holidays (May 15-26, 2023), and the schedule would include invited talks, experience sharing by eminent scientists, experimental demonstration, facility and lab visits, exclusive session for discussions with experts, practical and feedback sessions.
