Thats when the first 911 call started coming in. Were told a tug boat was escort escorting a barch on the hudson river. It struck a stationary barge in the project. One man was recovered by the tarrytown fire department. That man was pronounced dead here at the scene. Two others are unaccounted for. The tug is now 40 feet under water in the hudson river. Police and firefighters are out looking for the other men. Police department explained the situation further. Take a listen. What we do know is the tug that collided and sank struck a stationary barge pretty much head on. It was predawn at that time. So we dont know if whether a lack of, you know, vision is a factor there.
