July 17, 2021 MANSEHRA: Extending condolences to the families of the bus tragedy victims, the elders of Upper Kohistan on Friday hoped the work on the vital project would continue. Thirteen persons, including nine Chinese nationals were killed when a bus fell into a ditch after an explosion in the Barseen area on Wednesday. “We have extended all sorts of help and cooperation to the government for the execution of the 4300 megawatts Dasu hydropower project on our soil. We want to extend our sympathies with the families of Chinese and Pakistans who lost their lives in the bus accident,” Bakht Buland, a local elder, told a press conference in Dasu.

Pakistan- Private schools, seminaries defy govt orders during Covid-19 second wave

(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) Rizwan Mehsud PESHAWAR: Following the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan, the federal and the provincial governments decided to close all educational institutions to prevent the further spread of the deadly virus, however, the private educational institutions and the religious seminaries defied the government s instructions and continued holding regular classes. The government too has inactively pursued the case didn t take any action against the institutions violating the government guidelines. Mufti Noor Wali Shah, a teacher in Jannat-ur-Rasheed religious seminary in Dera Ismail Khan tells TNN that the government has been treating the seminaries leniently as compared to other educational institutions and has allowed the holding of classes under the corona SOPs.
