Washington University's Spring WILD (Walk In, Lay Down) attendance has been capped at 3,000 for undergraduates, following an announcement that it will be held in the Athletic Center’s Fieldhouse.
Washington University’s spring Walk In Lay Down (WILD) will take place in the Athletic Complex (AC) instead of Mudd Field, a decision announced to students via email, April 23.
KWUR 90.3 Clayton FM, Washington University’s own underground student-run radio station, annually hosts a week of free musical events featuring local and student music, open to all Washington University students. This year’s KWUR week, which began on March 25, featured over a dozen acts, with performances ranging from lively jazz waltzes to hardcore punk screams and instrumental folk.
In fall 2021, senior (then-sophomore) Spencer Kates had booked a show to play at the co-op, a local St. Louis venue. But there was an issue: he didn’t have a band. A few weeks earlier, he had played with senior Henry Windish and junior Evan Quigley at a Washington University musicians resource group jam session, and asked them to join. They were in, with the addition of Gabe Hamburg on Bass. So the four performed together, marking the first show of what's known today as Non-Euclidean Geometry.
