Six people died in rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh even as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said the state is likely to receive heavy rainfall today.
Several parts of Uttar Pradesh are likely to receive heavy rainfall today and more than 8 lakh people have been affected due to floods. As many as 11 people have died in rain-related incidents in the state and schools have been shut.
The weather office has issued a red, orange, and yellow alert for most districts of Uttar Pradesh for Monday. A yellow alert has been sounded for Noida and Ghaziabad.
Parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region were waterlogged after heavy rain yesterday, with normal life still disrupted in major cities including Gurgaon and Noida.
