The IMD issues an orange alert for thunderstorms and heatwaves in Northeast India. Western disturbance to bring rainfall and snowfall in the Western Himalayan Region from April 10. A heatwave alert is issued over parts of the east and peninsular India for the next two days.
IMD Update: Weather department forecasts rainfall with thunderstorm activity over Central India on 13 February and East India during 13-15 February. Orange alert issued for rainfall, thunderstorm, lightning, and hailstorm in UP, Bihar, Jharkhand on 13 February.
Light to moderate rainfall predicted over Central India and East India for the next five days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Cold waves observed in isolated pockets of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
IMD predicts very dense fog conditions to continue over North India for the next 4 days, along with severe cold day conditions for the next 2 days. Over 150 flights delayed at Delhi s IGI Airport due to dense fog and Republic Day restrictions, causing disruptions in air traffic
