Fewer Indiana counties this week are facing the state s county-level COVID-19 restrictions governing social gatherings as the spread of the virus continues to slow, the state health department s latest map update shows.
Another 11 counties Wednesday were shaded blue on the state s advisory-level map. That means 42 of the state s 92 counties now no longer face the state s gathering capacity restrictions but must still obey social distancing and mask-wearing protocols.
Both Indiana s public health emergency order and county-level restriction order were extended last month and will remain in effect through March. The current county restrictions limit social gatherings to 25% of capacity in orange and red counties and 50% of capacity in yellow counties.
