Drunk man accused of assaulting woman, taking 6-month-old in north Alabama Updated Feb 15, 2021; A Horton man was arrested Sunday after authorities say he assaulted a woman and took a six-month-old child. According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a domestic assault call off Fairview Road in the Nixon Chapel area around midnight Sunday. They found there a woman left on the side of the road with multiple head injuries. According to authorities, a man, who was intoxicated, drove off in her vehicle with their six-month-old child inside. The vehicle broke down at Nixon Chapel and Fairview Road, and the man left on foot with the child. Deputies began a search and called in other deputies and a dog team.
