Around 45 samples of medicines were found to be of substandard quality, according to a report of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) released last month.
The Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) on Tuesday submitted its report on the recent propofol injection-related deaths to the UT Administration, even as anaesthetic samples of another firm have failed the quality check.
The quality of drugs manufactured in the state has once again come under the scanner with propofol injections manufactured by Nixi Laboratories, Kala Amb, reportedly causing five deaths at the PGI, Chandigarh.
