MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – A fifth person has died after a car crashed into a pond last weekend in Myrtle Beach, according to officials.
Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard identified the victim as 19-year-old Jamar Matthews from Lake City. Willard said Matthews died at Grand Strand Medical Center from injuries he sustained in the crash.
Authorities said the wreck happened around 1:30 a.m. Jan. 23 on Harrelson Boulevard, just west of Highway 15.
