Chiba: Man suspected of ordering female debtors to use nude pix as collateral

CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police have arrested a 28-year-old man who is suspected of demanding that women seeking loans from him supply nude photographs as collateral, reports Nippon News Network (Feb. 26).
Last September, Toru Morikawa, a company employee, allegedly requested over social media that a female office worker, aged in her 30s, send naked photographs of herself as collateral for a loan of 40,000 yen.
“If you do not pay back [the money], I will make [the photographs] public,” he reportedly said.
Saitama: High school girls among 3 found dead in suspected group suicide

SAITAMA (TR) – Saitama Prefectural Police launched an investigation after three persons were found dead inside a vehicle in the district of Iruma on Thursday, reports Nippon News Network (Feb. 25).
At just past 2:00 p.m., the vehicle was found parked in the town of Moroyama with the engine running.
Along with the bodies, police found burned charcoal briquettes inside. As well, the windows had been taped shut, the Iruma Police Station said.
Police believe the three two high school girls, aged 16 and 17, and a 50-year-old man inhaled carbon monoxide fumes from the briquettes.
Tokyo cops: Illegal casinos operated out of Shoto apartments

Sands was operated out of an apartment in the ritzy Shoto area of Shibuya Ward (Twitter)TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have busted two illegal casinos operating out of apartments in a wealthy area of Shibuya Ward, reports Nippon News Network (Feb. 26).
According to police, 38-year-old Takayuki Motai is the manager of Sands, located inside an apartment in the Shoto area.
During a raid, police seized about 70
pachi suro (or pachinko slot) machines and baccarat tables from both Sands and Motai’s residence.
The second establishment, located in another apartment nearby, also featured pachi suro machines, police said.
Fukushima: Man found with bullets and sword suspected in shooting death

FUKUSHIMA (TR) – A suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at a used car dealership in Sukagawa City on Monday night has been arrested, police said, reports Nippon News Network (Feb. 25).
At around 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, police apprehended Katsuhisa Sato, of no known occupation, after he was caught trespassing into a residence in Sukagawa.
According to police, Sato, 60, was in possession of what appeared to be bullets and a Japanese sword at the time of his arrest.
Police are investigating whether Sato was behind the fatal shooting of Takeshi Sakuma, 37, at the dealership, which is located near the residence.
