VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. A fire at Crescent Condos in Virginia Beach damaged three units, in the early hours of Saturday morning. Five people are displaced.
Tray Rascoe lives on the top floor. He woke up at 2 a.m. to the sound of his smoke detector going off.
“If our fire alarms weren’t working. Our family wouldn’t be here today, he said. “I ran out into the living room, saw there was fire coming up through the window and the side of the house. I yelled for my mom and my fiancé.”
Va. Beach police trying to identify suspected porch pirate

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Police in Virginia Beach are trying to identify the person who stole a package off someone s front step.
It happened on Nov. 24 at a home on Huckleberry Trail, which is near Nimmo Pkwy and General Booth Blvd.
According to police, the person seen in the surveillance photo was the passenger in a white vehicle.
Police say the suspect was dropped off, ran up to the front door of a home and stole a package containing a child s toy.
