Conceptual footwear designs are nothing out of the ordinary for Nike, especially for the N. 354 sub-label which is known for devising silhouettes that fall on the more adventurous side of the spectrum. One of this division’s newest offerings that has been well-received from the market this year is the Air Force 1 Experimental which has just made its way onto the radar in the form of a simple “Black” makeover. The Swoosh model was recently spotted out with glossy “Archaeo Brown” exteriors and all-over branding, but this particular rendition elects to go with a look that is far more understated. Upper layers of these Nike kicks are dripped with a faded black tone, and come constructed with a foam-like material and crinkled textures that look as if someone had taken a vacuum and shrink-wrapped them to fit inside their carry-on luggage. Others, however, have blasted the commercial as misrepresenting the realities of Japan and even attacking the country.
