Medical frontliners as well as those working in essential services, defence and security will be among the first group to be inoculated in a three-phase plan starting this Friday.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said he and his team are excited about the vaccine, as it would put their mind at ease while they are on duty.

LUMPUR: Police detained a senior citizen who threatened to kill a policeman after being reprimanded for not observing physical distancing while at a restaurant in Taman Sri Manja, Petaling Jaya, yesterday.
Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the 62-year-old local male suspect was seen gathering with two other customers at a table in the premises when a team of police officers on patrol approached to reprimand them.
“As a result, the two customers fled while the suspect refused to cooperate and acted aggressively by kicking and threatening one of the cops who reprimanded him,” he said in a statement here today.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16: Police arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly mugging a woman while out on their first date.
Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the incident occurred yesterday at around 5.45 pm at Jalan 17/1 Petaling Jaya.
The woman met the suspect through Facebook, and had accepted his invitation for a dinner date.
“During the date, the suspect forcefully took the victim’s gold bracelet and then left her in front of a 24-hour convenience store in the area,” Nik Ezanee said in a statement today.
