PETALING JAYA: A police corporal has been arrested for allegedly kicking a security guard on duty at a guard post at Taman Sri Manja here because he was slow to open a boom gate.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the incident occurred at around 12.45pm on Sunday (May 9) along Jalan PJS 3/40. A police officer lodged a report on the matter after watching a video of the incident on Monday (May 10). Investigations revealed an argument erupted between the policeman and the 59-year-old guard for not opening the boom gate fast enough, forcing the suspect to stop his motorcycle and wait, he said in a statement on Tuesday (May 11).

PETALING JAYA: A police corporal who was caught on camera assaulting a security guard at an apartment in Taman Sri Manja here was arrested yesterday.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid (
pix) said today that the corporal who is in his 30’s is being investigated for causing hurt and criminal intimidation.
“A police officer lodged a report on the matter on coming across viral videos of the incident in the social media. We will not tolerate and compromise with police personnel who commit crimes against the public.” he said.

JAYA: A policeman is in hot soup for allegedly assaulting a security guard at an apartment in Taman Sri Manja here purportedly for being slow in allowing his vehicle out of the premises.
The incident at the Sri Manja Court apartments is believed to have occurred on Sunday where the security guard, known only as Nathan, was allegedly assaulted by the policeman who was in full uniform at the time of the attack.
Two videos of the case emerged in the social media late on Sunday where Nathan who was on duty at the apartment’s guard house alleged that the policeman attacked him after claiming he was slow in raising the exit boom barrier.

KUALA LUMPUR: A doctor at a government hospital in Selangor was among six individuals arrested on suspicion of being involved in a drug trafficking syndicate at a house in Taman Sri Manja, Petaling Jaya, here, yesterday.
All of the detained were local men aged between 26 and 30 years old.
Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said in a raid at the house, they found 11 transparent plastic packets containing compressed lumps of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis weighing 1,913 grammes with an estimated value of RM4,900, and also RM1,450 in cash.
