Nigerians have expressed their view on the recent supplementary budget approved by FEC involving N5bn for presidential yatch, N1.5bn cars for first lady, others
As part of this approval, N8.55bn was spent on motor vehicles and tow trucks for the Federal Road Safety Corps, 37 work vehicles for the Transmission Commission of Nigeria at a cost of N1.36bn, and NPC, ICPC received N388.3m and N835.2m, respectively.
According to approvals found in a document from the Bureau of Public Procurement, ten agencies received this payment in the period of April through August of 2023.

A joint Senate and House of Representatives Committee on Police Affairs yesterday approved N11 billion for the Nigerian Police Trust Fund.
Chairman, Senate Committee on Police Affairs, Senator Haliru Dauda Fika who chaired the joint Committee announced the approval.
He hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for the establishment of the Nigerian Police Trust Fund.
According to him, this was the first capital budget of the Fund.
Senator Fika assured of intensive oversight of the Fund by the joint Committee to ensure proper implementation.
“Sometimes in 2019, President Muhammadu Buhari signed the Police Trust Fund bill into law and since then subsequently the Board was inaugurated.
