In a survey of 630 partner agents, the average real estate commission rate in the U.S. is 5.49 percent, divided between the listing agent (2.83 percent) and the buyer's agent (2.66 percent). The average commission rate rose from 5.37 percent in 2023. Most real estate agents typically work within a range of 2.5 percent to 3 percent. WATERBURY – Jill P. (Iava) Perrone, age 60, passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side on Friday, April 16, 2021.
Jill was born on Oct. 26, 1960, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Frank Jr. and Ann Shirley (Richards) Iava. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and held a bachelor’s degree in biology from Southern Connecticut State University.
She worked in the medical field for more than 35 years, most recently for Hartford HealthCare at the Hospital of Central Connecticut as the senior technologist of microbiology.
Creative in many ways, Jill enjoyed interior design and jewelry making. She loved to travel to Martha’s Vineyard with her friends and browse flea markets. She also enjoyed feeding and watching Poppy’s birds.
