King s Lynn school outlines coronavirus testing programme to prepare for pupils return

Leaders at a Lynn secondary school have revealed the testing programme they have undertaken to prepare for the return of students to the classroom next week.
Attendance at schools has been limited to vulnerable students and the children of key workers since the imposition of the third national coronavirus lockdown in January.
But all that changes from Monday, when all pupils are expected to return to face to face lessons.

Officials at Lynn s Springwood High School say they have already carried out over 1,500 Covid-19 tests ahead of the re-opening, with more to come over the next few days.
Helston Flora Day cancelled for the second year in a row due to Covid-19 Pandemic. In a statement on its Facebook page the Flora Day Association said: Flora Day, which had been due to take place on Saturday, May 8th will no longer take place due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions. The Helston Flora Day Association has been following closely the Government information and guidance on the current pandemic and wishes to ensure the safety of the public, participants, and Helston Town Band members. A DISASTER response charity based in Chilmark and its dedicated volunteers have been on the frontline helping communities across the country during the coronavirus pandemic. RE:ACT, which was previously known as Team Rubicon UK, is an emergency and crisis response charity, operating in the UK and overseas. This year its efforts have been focused on helping communities across the UK during the virus crisis. Thousands of veterans came forward to support the charity through this difficult time and will continue to do so into the new year. Volunteers have been helping with the distribution of personal protective equipment, delivering meals to vulnerable communities, and building hospital beds, as well as providing support at temporary mortuaries.
