Overnight in new york city, in times square, there were thousands of people marching. In harlem we heard of a scuffle between police and protesters, a scuffle that resulted in some arrests. And in los angeles we heard of a march that turned violent after protesters started throwing batteries and rocks and chunks of cement in one area and then they blocked traffic on a freeway. President obama directly addressed the possibility of a strike against syria just moments ago in an interview with pbs the news hour. We have not yet made a decision but the International Norm against the use of chemical weapons needs to be kept in place. And nobody disputes or hardly anybody disputes that chemical weapons were used on a large scale in syria against civilian populations. We have looked at all of the evidence and we do not believe the opposition possessed Nuclear Weapons or chemical weapons of that sort. We do not believe that given the Delivery Systems using rockets that the opposition could have carried out these attacks. We have concluded that the Syrian Government and if so there need to be international consequences. We are consulting with allies and international community.
