the kidnapper told him to get in the passenger side and the suspect did the driving in this incident. police say he drove to various locations. we don t know which locations they were. but this was an effort to obtain cash from the victim. at some point today. but it ended at 3:00. that was here at the bp gas station. the robber jumped out of the vehicle and remains at large. there was a very similar incident that happened at the same giant food shopping center parking lot on wednesday evening. montgomery police tell me they re very aware of the similarities in these cases and they re continuing that investigation. but the good news here is that the victim in the case, while he was obviously shaken up about this incident, he was driven around in an effort to get money from him, they did stop off here at this gas station and the suspect jumped out, and that victim was unharmed. police are continuing their investigation tonight. reporting live from northwest d.c., darcy spencer
