AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - The Summit County Grand Jury indicted a 41-year-old Copley man for killing his mom inside their home on Christmas Eve.
Copley police said Nicholas Sibbio turned himself in to police several hours after the murder and confessed.
When officers arrived at their home in the 1500 block of Centerview Drive, they found the body of Sibbio’s 73-year-old mom Nancy.
According to Copley police, Sibbio admitted to getting into an early morning argument with his mom before physically assaulting her.

COPLEY, Ohio (WOIO) A man who allegedly murdered his mother and later turned himself in to police custody on Christmas Eve pleaded not guilty in a Monday morning hearing in Barberton Municipal Court.
Investigators said 41-year-old Nicholas Sibbio walked into the Copley Police Department on Christmas Eve and confessed to the murder of his mother, 73-year-old Nancy Sibbio.
According to Copley Police, Sibbio admitted to getting into an early morning argument with his mother at their Centerview Drive residence before physically assaulting her. Sibbio waited nearly 12 hours before reporting his mother s death, Copley Police said.
Sibbio was charged with murder and held at the Summit County Jail on $1 million bond.
