Just 11 minutes ago, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Rivas, Departamento de Rivas, Nicaragua. The tremor was recorded early morning on Saturday 23 January 2021 at 5:27 am local time, at a very shallow depth of 6 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the Nicaraguan Institute of Territorial Studies (INETER), the first seismological agency to report it.

A magnitude 3.6 earthquake near Strasbourg, Bas-Rhin, Grand Est, France, was reported only 8 minutes ago by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), considered one of the key international agencies that monitor seismic activity worldwide. The quake hit at an intermediate to considerable depth of 187 km beneath the epicenter near San Antonio de los Cobres, Departamento de Los Andes, Salta, Argentina, in the morning on Saturday 23 January 2021 at 8:22 am local time.
