The order stated that the delay was of serious concern as when the monsoon sets in, the waste could seep into the ground and meet drinking water, turning out to be more hazardous than the fire itself.
The Tribunal noted that it had earlier restricted the number of vehicles to 1,000 per day in view of adverse impact on glacier, climate change, the environment and carrying capacity of the area.
