A huge invention for people that live in center city and people that live outside of the city have to be aware of major highway closures the schuylkill will be closed from the blue route to i95 eastbound and westbound it will be closed from i95 to u. S. Route 1, the roosevelt extension and route 76 the vine street expressway, will be closed from the schuylkill to the delaware rivers. In addition to that, city avenue between lancaster avenue route 30 and belmont avenue will be closed in both directions to all traffic, that is because that is where the pope will be staying in that area. So that area will be shut down to traffic as well. Major inconveniences coming and the ben franklin bridge will be closed and the one bright spot, i95 will remain open. That is the only major highway that will not be affected by all of this, people that live in center city will be most impacted. The green lines still the no traffic zone, people can drive around and drive around freely but they cannot get back into it once they leave that area. This has a lot of implications for businesses, people are wondering for weeks how to get their employees in and out and get deliveries and supplies, the city is making allowances for that. The basic message for businesss try to get your deliveries if you can before that weekend but we are allow for limited deliveries to occur overnight into saturday into the early hours of sunday morning, we are asking businesses to be smart and plan ahead.
