Michael Foster, who worked at the University of Delaware for more than 30 years, died on April 29, 2021. He was 74. J. Michael Foster Mr. Foster joined the UD community as music resources supervisor in 1981 and retired in 2010. After retirement he returned in a supplemental faculty role from 2011-14. He taught both college classes and adult continuing education classes at UD’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. He was also long active as a host on the University s radio station WVUD, where he shared his vast musical knowledge with listeners through a variety of programs over the years. Taneshia Nash Laird is the President and CEO of Newark Symphony Hall Newark Symphony Hall, New Jersey s largest Black-led arts and entertainment venue, recently announced Yendor Theatre Company (YTC) as its first company-in-residence. YTC s first production with the venue will be Richard Wesley s Black Terror, co-produced by WACO Theater Center, which is based out of Los Angeles North Hollywood neighborhood. By TAPINTO NEWARK STAFF By TAPINTO NEWARK STAFF April 4, 2021 at 6:59 PM NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Symphony Hall will host a new production this summer, Richard Wesley s Black Terror.    As the hall s first company-in-residence, the Yendor Theatre Company (YTC) production will be co-produced by Los Angeles-based WACO Theater Center and directed by WACO Co-Artistic Director Richard Lawson. The production will live-stream online this summer. YTC will also be the first resident of The Lab at Newark Symphony Hall, a career accelerator and business incubator focused on the performing arts. The program is being launched with financial support from Newark Arts. YTC is a 2021 Black Seed grant winner – the first national initiative providing financial support for Black theatre companies across the country.
