Carrie Mary Sheffield (May 16, 1922 to March 8, 2021) was born in Fredonia, New York, the daughter of Charles V. Leone and Josephine G. Leone. Carrie was preceded in demise by her husband Charles W. Sheffield of over fifty-five years and her father and mother, Mr. & Mrs. Charles V. Leone, her sister Nettie Leone, Florence (Leone) Popielarz Joseph V. Leone and her daughter Charlotte Ann (Sheffield) Hamada. Survivors include Carries’s daughter Charlotte’s husband Kiyoshi Hamada along with nieces and a generation of younger relatives.
Heritage Notes
Carrie’s paternal (Leone) family arrived at “Ellis Island” in New York with a quest for a new safe life in the United States; where the family could carry-on Mr. Leone’s father’s farm and cannery business founded in the town of Pomfert (Fredonia, New York) with Mr. Charles Leone’s wife Josephine G. Carrie’s father Charlie, was an avid Bible and book reader and took up interest in the International Bible Soc
