Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey, one of the few remaining Negro League ballparks from the era of segregated baseball, has been restored and will reopen as a minor-league and school field in May.
The Somerset Patriots, the New York Yankees Double-A affiliate, will be joining Minor League Baseball’s “The Nine” program beginning in the 2023 season.
In a move creating plenty of warm fuzzies as well as a host of logistical issues, the New Jersey Jackals will play at Paterson's Hinchliffe Stadium in 2023.
