I t looks fairly lacklustre that an exercise which mandatorily should have been done in respect of all Government Degree Colleges, say 142 in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, is now going to take place in respect of according gradation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) on the basis of assessing certain vital parameters of their functioning in spreading quality education in the UT. Periyar University, Salem, one of the leading state universities of Tamil Nadu, has announced the launch of an online learning portal periyaredu.in which will offer high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in multiple domains.
The University announced this as an initiative to expand its offerings in line with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP2020). These high-quality online degrees shall enable learners to learn from the excellent faculty of Periyar University online.
