Man killed in motorcycle crash on N.J. Turnpike

A Hoboken man was killed when his motorcycle crashed on the New Jersey Turnpike in Hudson County Saturday afternoon.
Daniel Vera, 47, was ejected from his Harley Davidson motorcycle when it struck a concrete curb on the Turnpike, Marchan said. He suffered fatal injuries.
State Police are still investigating the crash, trying to determine what caused Vera’s motorcycle to strike the curb, Marchan said.

N.Y. woman killed, 3 seriously injured in South Jersey crash

A passenger was killed and three others seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Salem County.
A Brooklyn, New York, man was driving a Ford Explorer westbound on Route 540/Welchville Road in Alloway Township shortly before 10 a.m. when the vehicle left the roadway around milepost 10, according to New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan.
The SUV struck trees and a utility pole, re-entered the road and overturned.
A passenger, 27-year-old Kinder Dineth Pinzon Romero, of Brooklyn, died of her injuries, Marchan said.
The driver and two other passengers, a 6-year-old girl and 23-year-old man, both also of Brooklyn, were hospitalized with serious injuries.
