Eustis Police Department hosts Coffee with a Cop at Jeannie s Place

EUSTIS   It’s been almost three months since Eustis Police Chief Craig Capri was sworn in. When he started, Capri said one of his goals was to create a stronger connection between the department and the community with transparency and engagement events.  His latest endeavor was Coffee with a Cop, a national program that gets the police force out to a local coffee shop or breakfast spot to meet with citizens and chat about their hopes, dreams and even the weather.  Capri and a group of at least a dozen officers met on Friday morning at Jeannie’s Place in Eustis, where community members stopped by to meet men and women in blue.

That money was split between the two police departments to bolster their K-9 endeavors.
