Firefighter, an animal control officer and one of erics 75yearold neighbors. All three required medical attention at Good Samaritan hospital. Leo was eventually captured and is now quarantined inside brocktons animal control office. We tried to speak with leos owners, they wouldnt come to the door but said they have no comment. Theyll hold a hearing to figure out what to do with leo, but the mayor made it clear, he wants the dog put down. My feeling is that fo heard enough. In my mind, the dog is dangerous, and my hope will be that the owner of the dog would just work with us voluntarily, sign over the dog, and give permission tore it to be euthanized. The reporter now, both the firefighter and the animal control officer have been released from the hospital, so thats the good news. By now, just about everyone in town has seen that video. They told us tonight they were shocked that a highspeed chase would happen on their quiet quite streets, but they are also praising the actions officers. A dramatic in to a highspeed chase. People who live in town describe it as normally quiet, but after seeing Police Dash Cam video of this white car whipping down winding streets, swerving into the wrong lane, and flying through red lights and intersections am really shocked. Pelham is a quiet town usually. Chase ensues. The subject driving the car was definitely accelerating and driving in a dangerous speed.
