She told police that she kicked the man and managed to get away. She was on the third floor of one of the homes asleep. And shes so incredibly happy they were able to escape this fire. We see everybody, kids, families, tears of relief from jody santigade on the third floor. She and her autistic son were sleeping when the neighbors came banging on the back door. I dont know where we would be without everybody. Everett firefighters say when they showed up the porches were on fire and there were explosions. At one point part of the burning building came down towards firefighters. A piece of siding fell off. The building burned through 2 and a half inch line. No one was hurt and for that everyone is thankful. There was a circumstance where they couldnt quite leave and they did. Its grateful for everybody families who have been displaced.
