About 100 people attended a Tuesday morning visitation and funeral service to say goodbye to a man who led a "life of service" in Elgin. Donald J. Sleeman died Dec. 7 at age 92.
Lifelong Elginite and longtime American Legion Post 57 mainstay Don Sleeman died early Tuesday morning at the age of 92. A visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 8 pm at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home in Elgin. Funeral services will be held there Tuesday at 10:30 am.
