On a beautiful spring evening 50 years ago this week, thousands of K-Staters, including yours truly, marched into what was then KSU Stadium for the university’s annual commencement.
It is hard to believe a half-century has passed since that evening and of all the paths taken, many of which were spur of the moment and spontaneous events, that could shape one’s life. It was a simpler time in so many ways, although the nation was mired in a war in Southeast Asia that was in the final stanza before ending the conflict two years later.
