A 23-year-old man was hacked to death on Tuesday night during a school board election in Chhabispathibhera, Bajhang municipality, over a dispute.
According to the district police station, Amrit Singh of Chhabispathibhera-3 died after being hit with a machete. Police have arrested four people, including the Chhabispathibhera-2 Bikash Ayadi ward chairman, in connection with the incident. Prakash Ayadi, Kedar Ayadi and Gyan Bahadur Kathayat from the same rural municipality were also detained for investigation.
During the election of the Bannichaur Secondary School board on Tuesday afternoon, a heated dispute arose between two groups. The murder charged Prakash and the victim had a heated dispute and even exchanged blows during the election.
