AN investigation is continuing into an illegal rave that was planned for a derelict building in rural Northumberland. Northumbria Police revealed on Saturday evening that they had busted the unlicensed music event, near Ebchester, after officers had become aware of the planned ‘Covid Rave’ set to take place around five miles from Consett. Hundreds of tickets had been sold advising revellers to travel to the rural countryside and await instruction for a more specific location. But officers shut the event down before it even started – and took to social media to warn partygoers to stay home. Those revellers who did arrive at the scene late on Saturday evening were faced with a swarm of police officers and their vans.
