change in the polls between now and tuesday, and it s just a matter of figuring out who the voters really are. maggie, what are you seeing on the ground in new hampshire right now? the two people to watch, as alex indicated, ron paul and mitt romney are the people in front. rick santorum may do better than some polls indicating, and the other person to watch is jon huntsman. they do have something of a ground game going in new hampshire where he staked his entire campaign. and the other thing to watch is mitt romney and how high the numbers go. his numbers have been so high for so long, anything short of a certain margin, even while it s not necessarily fair, will be seen as something a loss, which is obviously the wrong word, but not a victory here because it s his neighbor state. who do you think is poised right now to make the most out
karl rove can say it, but people aren t going to listen. there s no heavyweight to stand up there and say, stop these guys. maggie, how does this play out? does trump actually go into the primaries? does that really blow up romney s chances, if trump turns out it really does have $7 billion, which i think you guys reported, but i m incredibly skeptical about. i ve heard a lot of skepticism. so that s the beauty of the financial disclosures, you do have to do them, unless you get two extensions, which is basically what everybody is allowed. mitt romney got it last time and you can drag it out for a while. i think trump will form a committee, whether he goes the distance, whether he is in this for the long haul, that remains to be seen. i have no doubt that he s going to continue to impact the race, at least for a little while. and i think the numbers that you saw in new hampshire, there was a recent poll that showed trump pretty close to romney in that state. that is a do or die sta
well, yes, candy, i am sympathetic to arizona. they re a border state. they re a neighbor state. we ve had similar problems in new mexico. we re on the border, too. and i do believe there s a need for comprehensive immigration reform. we all agree on that. what i don t agree with is arizona taking this issue in their own hands and taking over what is a federal responsibility, harming our foreign policy with central america and mexico and basically passing a law that potentially is discriminatory, racial profiling. anybody that looks hispanic, and this is a state that is 30% hispanic, with hispanics there for many generations, being pulled over on the grounds that they may look suspicious. this issue has divided the country. this issue needs to be dealt with by the congress in a comprehensive way. but, yeah, i am sympathetic to arizona. i toured the border with
