Sony Electronics Inc. announced on Feb. 2 that Neal Manowitz will be promoted to president and chief operating officer for Sony Electronics Inc. North America, effective April 1. He will take the place of Mike Fasulo, who is retiring. Fasulo has led Sony’s Electronics operations in North America for the past seven years, and has been with the company 37 years.

Manowitz currently serves as deputy president, imaging products and solutions - Americas for Sony Electronics, and is marking his 25th anniversary with the company.

Sony Electronics said Tuesday that Mike Fasulo, head of Sony’s North American electronics division based in San Diego, will retire on April 1 after 37 years with the company.
Fasulo is a well-known San Diego tech executive, having worked in several positions at Sony Electronics in Rancho Bernardo over the years. For the past seven, he served as president and chief operating officer, navigating the company through a period of fierce price competition and the rise of the smartphone, which disrupted traditional consumer electronics markets ranging from digital cameras to music players.
