One of the biggest differences between 10 years ago and now and why this is working well is the level of business engagement. If you go to Front Range Community college in colorado, he will see they have an advanced manufacturing partnership, a partnership between the federal, state and local government, the Business Community and others. Look and see the curriculum is being devised within industry. There are businesses whose workers are professors. One of the reasons they love teaching is they cherry pick the best students.
