They were part of an elite group that scouts wildfires ahead of the arrival of larger groups of their colleagues. As the fight against the blaze that took their lives continues, theyre being honored as heroes. This morning, a somber procession, more than a dozen fire and Police Vehicles escorting the bodies of three firefighters, 20yearold tom zbyszewski, 26yearold andrew zajac and 31yearold Richard Wheeler dying on the front lines. All killed when their vehicle crashed overtaken by flames in twisp, washington. It hurts deep, but the job goes on. Reporter another firefighter, 25yearold daniel lyon, suffering critical burns.
