Shawna bashard, sean cooksy and alan dixon are the president s nominees to be members of the federal elections committee. As our witnesses are joining us remotely i also understand that their families and friends are watching today and so i welcome them as well. This is a big responsibility, its a significant president ial nomination, and significant to the work of this committee. And i know youre proud of your Family Member as they have moved forward to this opportunity. Let me say a little bit about a couple of nominees and then im going to turn to another committee member, senator cruz to talk about the third nominee. That bear cub did not have a care in the world, and somebody, a twolegged somebody, got careless. It took several hundred men five days to lick that fire. 17,000 acres of timber were destroyed, timber that could have been used for homes and furniture, along with the mills that could have turned

It is currently on display. In those special exhibit hall. This is presented here in new orleans and a wonderful coproduction with several esteemed partners. The museum of the jewish people in tel aviv, israel. And the museum of heritage in cleveland, ohio. If you have not been able to see the exhibit yet, it is open until january 25. Eichmann was the head of the Jewish Department and managed the transport of millions of people to nazi camps and vanishes after the war. Due to the coronavirus. We are on the campus of North Carolina at chapel hill. Unc chapel hill is the First State University in the country. Contested claim we argue with the university of georgia about. The university of georgia were chartered first. The unc charter came a few years later. Unc was first to open and graduated a couple classes before the university of georgia. The university and city were founded at the same time. When this area was selected, there was no town or village. There was a few neighboring farms. There was no town to speak of. On the day they laid the stone for the university building, they had the option of town lodge. The understood if university was going to succeed they needed a town. Businesses, places for people to live. In essence, it was born on the same day. In university was chartered 1789. The ground broke in 1793. A year and a half later, in 1790 five, the university open.
